Kasela

Kasela sits on the seaward shoulder of an outer Kornati island, so its drop-off faces the open Adriatic to the southwest and is fully exposed to S, SSW and SW swell. The Jugo (Sirocco), blowing up the Adriatic's long SE axis, builds the largest, longest waves here and is the main reason dives are cancelled. The northeast sectors are sheltered behind the island chain, and the offshore Bura (Bora) from the NE has little fetch on this seaward face, so it brings fierce surface wind but limited wave action at the site.
