Butterfly Beach

South-facing beach highly protected by the Channel Islands shadow. Almost all swell directions are heavily attenuated. Southeast sees low exposure, with all other directions at minimal levels. Typically flat to calm, making it reliable when other areas are blown out. The gentle slope means even small waves break far from shore, so expect a long surface swim to reach diving depth.
