The dive site is conveniently accessible from the beach. From the parking areas, divers can follow pathways that lead directly to the beach. There is a staircase at the end of Cliff Drive that provides a direct route to the sandy shore, making it easy to transport gear.

Diver's Cove boasts a rich array of marine life, making it a hotspot for underwater photography and exploration. Divers can encounter garibaldi, kelp bass, opaleye, and various other fish species. The site is also home to lobsters, sea stars, anemones, and occasional sightings of rays and octopuses. The vibrant kelp forests and rocky reefs provide ample opportunities to observe diverse marine ecosystems.

The underwater topology of Diver's Cove includes a combination of sandy bottoms, rocky reefs, and kelp forests. Diver's Cove has limited facilities on-site. However, Heisler Park, which is nearby, offers public restrooms and showers. It's advisable to bring your own refreshments and any additional gear you might need, as there are no stores or concessions immediately adjacent to the dive site.

Moderate to high, particularly on weekends and during summer months. The site is popular with dive classes and beginner divers due to its protected conditions. Weekday mornings typically offer the least crowded experience.

During entry and exit, be cautious of slippery rocks and potentially strong shore break depending on conditions. Keep an eye out for fishing lines near the rocky areas, as shore anglers frequent this location. Maintain awareness of other water users, especially swimming classes and snorkelers that share the area. The site can experience strong surge during large swells, particularly in the shallow rocky areas.
