Farnsworth Bank is a legendary dive site known for its rare purple hydrocoral colonies. Located about 2 miles offshore from the eastern end of Catalina Island, this underwater seamount rises from depths of 140 feet to about 60 feet below the surface. Considered a bucket-list dive for West Coast divers, Farnsworth offers dramatic underwater topography and unique marine life not commonly found at other Southern California dive sites.
