Honolua Bay

For shore dives, enter from the rocky shore or small beach area and exit by swimming back. Boat dives will have specific entry and exit procedures depending on the operator.

Shore dive with entry from a rocky shoreline or by boat from nearby harbors. Shore access requires a short walk down a trail to the beach.

Manta rays, barracuda, parrotfish, triggerfish, butterflyfish, and a variety of tropical fish. Occasional sightings of sea turtles and small reef sharks.

The bay features a sandy bottom with coral reef structures, lava rock formations, and some underwater pinnacles.

Limited parking available along the roadside near the bay entrance. Arrive early to secure a spot.

No facilities on-site; bring your own gear and supplies. The nearest amenities are in nearby towns.

Moderate, popular with divers and snorkelers in summer when waters are calm. Winter swells often limit access, reducing crowds.

Rocky entry requires care; wear booties. Visibility can drop after rain or swells. Currents minimal in bay but stronger outside. Watch for marine preserve rules.
